Secret Garden: Essential Oils

Four years ago, Hurricane Maria hit my Island. We were left with almost nothing. There was a lot of need everywhere. No electricity, no running water, there’s was little to no food to be found for what seem like forever, but it was months. There was no work, people were left out on the streets. It was really devastating. My husband and I made the decision to sell everything, and we moved to the mountain. We were living in a tent, in a “tribe” kind of way with 7 others, all living in the same conditions, and sharing what we had. We worked the earth and join with the community of the area to share what we harvested and to bring water and solar energy to the people. There was also a need for healing, and I was called to help. I am no doctor and have never pretended to be, but there was little to no help, and the people needed some way of healing. Medicinal plants have been used thru generations to heal the physical and energetic body. We had some amazing people who reached out and donated a lot of essential oils and so, I went to work (I was profoundly grateful to have a knowledge that would be of help for so many).

Essential Oils have the plants properties in a concentrated way. They are extracted directly from the plant in a process called distillation that liquefies the plant essence and can be used for many medical and magical purposes.

This is not medical advice and should not be taken as such, but I want to share some of those recipes in case it may help someone. Always see your doctor! (just make sure you can trust that doctor).

This might be a bit too strong, but they were made in a time of need and they did help and served their purposes. Essential Oils are safe when use in appropriate amount. Stop using if rash or any skin conditions develop, if you take any medication you may want to ask your doctor before using any of this. Essential oils may be too strong and produce irritation on some, be mindful of your health and take the necessary precautions before trying. NONE ARE MEANT TO BE USED INTERNALY UNLESS SPECIFIED SO.

IMPORTANT!: THESE ARE FOR ADULTS ONLY!!!!!!!

There is a lot we can do with Essential Oils and many ways to use them. Rub them on your skin, in your belly button, in your soles and hands, back of the head. They can be use with a diffuser, baths and many other ways, like aromatherapy sessions and massages.

When buying Essential Oils, always make sure they are organic.

Some Essential Oils may be harmful to our furry familiars, so always make sure that it is safe to use around them.

There are many good brands of Essential Oils easily found with a quick search thru the web, and you can also find lots of information on how to make them yourself.

May this help someone

Blessed be
