Shadow Self

Continuation for Shadow Self:


It is not our duty to fix no one but ourselves. We have enough trauma to heal from, seek safety and healing.


Now that we understand better what the Shadow Self is and how it affects us, we can begin to work with it to find balance and harmonize our personality to consciously be our true self.

This guided meditation exercise is aimed to connecting with the energy of your Lower Self. This will help you stay healthy, grounded and emotionally strong during (and after) your encounters with your shadow self.


Meditation


· Start by looking for a space in time and place where you are alone and without distractions.


· Clean your body and space.


· To the north-west light a white candle


· Sit on the floor (try not to cross your legs)


Adaptation: use a chair with your feet flat on the floor and your back straight. Hands on thighs or knees with palms up.


· Take 3 deep breaths allowing the air to completely fill your body.


· Fix your attention on the breath and let the thoughts go, as they come.


· Feel your body relax * when my anxiety was totally out of control, I learned to force or order my body to relax, as if one were internal hypnotizing me. If you have trouble relaxing your body, try firmly ordering each part of your body to relax or sleep (it also works for astral travel). It begins with the toes. "I order my toes to relax" or "my fingers and feet relax at 3,2,1" (all and none of this works without visualization, you must see and feel the relaxation, remember that you are as strong as the anxiety). Continue ordering relaxation for each part of your body. When you get to the chest, lower to the arms, hands, fingers and back up to the shoulders and neck. On the face, remember to relax each part: jaw, mouth, tongue, cheekbones, eyesight, eyelids, between-eyebrows, forehead, scalp, hair.


· Go back to your feet and visualize your legs turning into tree roots that penetrate the earth and leave them there.


· Once in a relaxed state, contract your body as when you want to control the flow of urine (do it 3 times holding for 3 seconds each time)


· Visualize a red-light bulb lighting up right where you feel the pressure as you contract your body.


· Repeat the contraction of your body and hold it while using the force you generate to visualize the red light intensifying its brilliance.


· Allow yourself to receive whatever emotion or sensation comes. Usually, the first thing we feel is extreme discomfort in the whole body, try to hold it go pass that. Return each emotion to the earth through your roots after appreciating it.


· Stay here for a few minutes just feeling and returning the negativity back to the earth.


· Return to the present moment counting from 1-7, ordering your body to wake up as you ordered it to relax. Starting with the hair and ending with the feet. Do not pick your roots.


· Blow out the candle.


· Write down what you felt and any thoughts, no matter how crazy they seem or seem to be unrelated.


Repeat the meditation for 3 consecutive days, writing down what you felt, on the third day read what you wrote. You will have a better understanding of who your Shadow Self really is.


Remember to drink a lot of water during those days and bathe with the intention of purity.
