About 15 yrs ago I was struggling. The life lessons around that time marked the begining of my conscious spiritual journey. Learning to understand and integrate The Eight Limbs of Yoga helped me to find direction in a way.
I want to share this so it can help someone else as it did me.
The Eight Limbs of Yoga
The eight limbs of yoga guides us through a complete path of spiritual transformation. Starting with ethical precepts called the Yamas at the root, followed by the Niyamas as the trunk representing inner values, Asanas as the branches, Pranayama represented as the leaves open to receive life force energy, just as the buds turn inward Pratyahara turns inward the senses safeguarding the energy, Dharana is represented by the tree's concentration into blossoming, the flowering of the tree is Dhyana and it is translated as meditation, while Samadhi is represented by the flower or the fruit of Yoga as unity.
They help us stay in the moment, to live completely in tune with not only our physical body but our pranic, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies as well as our connection with the divine (whatever we may call it). To keep us humane, in balance and healthy ♡
May this help someone
Blessed be
