One of the many things Yoga teaches us is that when we feel discomfort, we can follow it with compassion and curiosity to know its location, we move and stretch, twist and bend, we listen to our bodies and follow its instructions to heal, we don’t impose our belief’s; and if we do we quickly learn that our “ego” don’t know a thing and that only by quieting the ego-mind and paying attention to all that is going on is that we are able to connect with the discomfort and find how to heal it; or we can completely avoid the discomfort -limiting our practice, slowing our growth, and leaving us full of body aches for the following days.

In our daily life’s we have the same two options, we either follow the discomfort or avoid it.

For some reason we have gotten use to the discomfort, and we also tend to avoid it when it comes to our daily life’s,

and hardly ever attempt to pinpoint its location and heal it. We get stuck in a spiral of reactivity; when we decide to avoid the discomfort, is our life’s that “aches”.

We must know that avoiding the discomfort does not erase it. The discomfort stays as a part of us and evolves into “aches” (repetitive situations that will be “looped” to remind us the way into healing).

When there is discomfort in our lives is because something needs healing; we can pinpoint its location and Yoga our way into healing, or we can avoid it and deal with the “aches”. Either way, it is always our choice. When we do decide to heal it, remember that our “ego” do not know a thing, we should listen, and with compassion and curiosity move and stretch, twist and bend, until we find the way to heal.

May this help someone
